I've joined Leo on The Screen Savers, Call For Help, The Daily Giz Wiz, and the Lab with Leo -- and for a while I joined him (in a very small way) on his syndicated radio show "Tech Guy Labs". It's syndicated throughout the US and is heard on XM radio too. But late in 2008, with the Daily Giz Wiz shows getting longer and longer, we decided to drop the Giz Wiz spots that were on Tech Guy labs. Basically they were just us re-recording chatter about gadgets we had just done on the Daily Giz Wiz Netcast. But Leo continues to do Tech Guy Labs by himself and somehow remains successful without me!
You'll also find a list of all the radio stations Tech Guy Labs can be heard on at the link above. Just click on "stations" when you get there Or if you'd like to drive yourself crazy, copy the map at the left, enlarge it so you can read it, and then try to figure out the stations across the country on your own! And good luck!

From Energizer, The DUO Charger.
This is pretty clever. Put it in your pocket, throw it in camera or computer bag and you have a mini, very useful charger for AA and AAA NiMH batteries. Iím not quite sure why, but itís available in green, red, or blue. And this I like, although you donít really need it, you can download a neat little program from Energizer's website that letís you track the charger's progress right on your computer screen. It knows what the charger is doing because itís drawing the power from one of the USB ports. Youíll see a picture representing the batteries in the device and a count down timer that counts down to the time theyíre fully charged. The DUO charger retails for $13.99 (but Iíve already seen it for under $12. In the package is the charger, an AC to USB adapter, which you can use to charge other USB devices and two Energizer AAA 900 NiMH batteries. I think someone at Amazon didnít check the USB Duo Charger copy after they cut pasted it. Itís the battery operated T-Shirt with itís own built in Graphic Equalizer! Hereís a t-shirt that will get plenty of attention. The built in graphic equalizer responds to voices, music, or any sound! The microphone is built into the battery pack. There's a sensitivity control so you can adjust the mic to suit the sound. This would be amazing to wear at a dance club. You can disconnect the battery pack and hand wash the shirt. The T-Qualizer shirts cost $39.99 (CAD) CAD is the Canadian dollar, but these days I think the US dollar exchange rate is exactly the same. Their store accepts Visa and MasterCard, and there is also a PayPal option.Michael, who runs the places said they ship all over the world, and generally turn around orders within 12 hours. Shipping to most places in North America costs about $6.90. If youíre in a big hurry they have UPS and Canada Post Xpresspost options too for quicker delivery.
And Michael added: Iíve set up a special 10% discount coupon in the store that users can redeem during their checkout process. They just need to type in Ďgizwizí during the check out process and your readers and listeners can redeem this discount instantly.
These shirts are neat! I think you'll love them. Check their website because they offer quite a few choices.
Playing game at the office?Donít want to get caught?
The Stealth Switch is the answer. Install the software and plug the hidden foot switch in. It either goes between the keyboard and your computer, or just into an available USB port. Once installed just a light tap of your toes on the foot switch hidden under your desk and it will work its magic for you. (But you have to remember the switch is down there. I installed it at MAD Magazine and as I tried to show something on my computer screen I kept hitting the switch by mistake and the program I was in kept disappearing and reappearing!) Based on your preferences, it can hide the current window, hide all windows, or hide all windows except for specified windows. Not just minimize, mind you, but totally erase from your screen. The Stealth Switch can also mute the sound, hide the taskbar, hide the desktop icons, and password protect the restore function. When the coast is clear, another quick tap and you are ready to frag in peace. Software Requires: Win 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP Home/Pro$24.99.From our friends over at Think Geek. http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/accessories/76ed/
New! New! New! (And it's new!)
It has L.E.D.s... It glows! It changes colors! But it does more than put on a mini-light show next your computer day and night.
It the GizWiz.Biz USB Smart Button. It plugs into any available USB port and it starts glowing and changing colors immediately. But there's more! Anytime you want to go to my website to play the "What The Heck Is It" game, or check out a gizmo we talked about on the Daily GizWiz, you merely push the center of the glowing button. In seconds my website pops up! What could be easier? And my logo is there too. Why it's a dream come true. (Well my dream will come through if a bunch of people buy them!) A few times a month people ask if I have a donation button. I don't, but I will make some money if you decided to buy a GizWiz.Biz USB Smart Button. I think they're pretty neat. You can see one in action here:
$17.99 plus $3.99 Postage. And I'll include an autographed copy of MAD Magazine till the end of October. That's a $3.99 value in itself.
IMPORTANT: Postage to Canada is $8.95. PayPal should automatically change $3.99 to $8.95 when it recognizes a Canadian address. If it doesn't, order it anyway, I can send you an invoice for the difference in postage. Thanks. Dick De
Purse Guard Ultra.
OKAY! No matter what Leo says I think Purse Guard Ultra is a clever idea!
Zelco calls it A Woman's Best Accessory When Dining Out.
We laughed, we giggled, but here's the scroop. The PurseGuard Ultra is a compact, easy to carry gizmo to protect a woman's purse, or anything you hang on it. It has an alarm and flashing light to alert you if someone tries to take what you decide to hang on the Purse Hanger Hook. So it can protect things against theft if you're busy talking, reading or just daydreaming. With PurseGuard Ultra, purses can be hung safely on the edge of almost any dining table and kept comfortably off of laps, and, more importanlty, off of floors or backs of chairs where they can be easily stolen. Audio and LED light alarms go off if anyone attempts to lift purse and/or PurseGuard from edge of table. Can also be used as a one-LED flashlight. Zelco didnít specify a weight limit, but I tried with a 5 pound weight, checked out with my UltraShip 55 scale, and it worked fine!Carry pouch included. Price $22.00. There's a model also without the light but it's only $1 cheaper and I think the new model is more ruggedly built Available in black or white.
